Career Growth Spotlight: Meet Jen

Prior to joining RCR, I spent 8 years working for a financial services company starting as an HR Coordinator, then as an HR Specialist focused in talent acquisition and lastly 5 years as a Talent Acquisition Leader leading the organization’s recruitment strategies, hiring for senior and executive level roles and overseeing a small team. I left the “corporate” world in 2019 after welcoming my 3rd daughter and decided to spend time being a stay-at-home mom.

After I welcomed my 4th daughter in 2020, I started to miss aspects of my professional career but knew that a full-time role would not fit with my life and my overall purpose of being there for my girls.

I came across a remote part-time opportunity with RCR in November 2021 –I  applied and contacted Heather to share my excitement/interest in the role. She interviewed me and offered me the job over my lunch break while serving jury duty in December 2021. I accepted and started my adventure with RCR!

I was originally hired as an HR Consultant but quickly navigated to working with our clients on their hiring and recruiting needs, which became my primary focus.  With the support of RCR, I obtained my PHR in July 2022! I was promoted to Lead Recruiting Guru in September of 2022 taking on my first direct report – recruiter.  I now have a team of wonderful recruiters that I help lead and develop, along with continuing to focus on finding amazing talent for the RCR team, balancing leadership duties, and requisitions for clients and client management. I truly LOVE what I do and LOVE the people that work here – being able to balance my dedication to being a present Mom and growing my career is truly invaluable.
